This deeply personal diptych is a self-portrait reflecting my experience navigating love and intimacy after trauma. Though I now have a loving and supportive partner, the scars of a past sexually abusive relationship make it difficult to fully embrace closeness. I often feel like a stray dog: wary, uncertain, but yearning for safety. This piece captures that tension between fear and the desire for connection.
