This painting honors my two childhood hound dogs, Lucy and Sammy, who have remained close to my heart even after my family’s move to Texas. While creating art for our new home, I didn’t want them to be left behind, so I gave them a place on the canvas. They never got to see the ocean, but I like to think they would have loved it.
